(ooc: This takes place May 2, in the morning. For Crona and Silver only.)
I'm not going to fail this time, Crona. Mark my words. You will die.
Medusa's words still haunted him, even in the waking world. It wasn't right. Not at all. The more he thought about it, the more he realized just how much he didn't want to be in his current situation. Why couldn't he have just died from protecting Maka so long ago? It would have made things a lot easier, wouldn't it? Regardless, it didn't change the situation. Medusa wanted his blood, and Crona was under protection of the agency.
...At least, he was meant to be under their protection. It had been days since he had been promised an agent to protect him, and Crona still had received no word of whether he was meant to meet this protector somewhere or whether they were coming to meet him. No, the pink-haired boy was pitifully waiting. He'd lapsed into a bit of a state where time seemed to have stopped entirely, and fear had taken over. So, there he sat huddled up against a wall of his little house provided for him by the agency with soft pillows acting as a makeshift fortress. Drawn on the floor with white chalk was a circle surrounding the supposed fortress. Much like in Crona's childhood, when he would lose himself in his thoughts, he had become convinced that that chalk circle would keep intruders out.
No one would bother him.
"There. E-Even if my protector doesn't show up, I'll... I'll be safe here. No-nothing can get to me in here." Crona murmured. Little did he realize that his pillows weren't big enough to conceal his presence completely and so his top half, namely his head and upper part of his body, were still visible to some degree. He hadn't thought of putting a pillow on his head, and Ragnarok, remaining unusually silent, hadn't suggested anything against such a plan. Yes, Crona thought he was perfectly safe for the moment.
Needless to say, he let out a shrill little 'eep!' in surprise when a knock at the door broke his concentration. It hadn't occurred to him that it might have been whoever the agency had sent to protect him, so for a long moment Crona remained absolutely silent, still convinced he was safe in his pillow fortress. He also hadn't had the foresight to lock the door, and so it was perfectly easy for someone to just walk inside at that moment.

(OCC: Something tells me the chalk circle came from spongebob ) Silver felt nervous. He also felt hopeful. Mostly he felt pity for this 16 year old shy boy he was told about by amelia. He was told to be on his mother's death list and it hurt silver to see that happen to a boy. It also angered him, his own mother loved him so it shocked silver that a woman could be so angry at her son like this. Without any words he knocked hearing a faint "eep" and silver said calmly "It's alright lad. It's me your protector I was adressed to meet ya and I felt that you could use some company so here I am let me laddie"

For a long moment, Crona chose not to respond. Was it a trick? He didn't know, but this person did sound fairly nice. And he had said he was the one sent to protect him...
"Well, what are you waiting for wimpy? Open the door!" Ragnarok snapped, finally deciding to appear again. The demon sword had had enough of his meister being wimpy. He understood Crona was fearful for his life, Ragnarok was as well, but there was no reason to relapse into such a fearful state. "Don't make me noogie you! Because I will!" Ragnarok remarked.
"O-Okay, okay... I-I'm going." Crona said at last. A part of him didn't want to move, afraid to ruin the supposed impenetrableness of his pillow fort, but he wouldn't gain anything from hiding in there forever. At last, he moved aside the pillows and made his way toward the door. Crona opened it slowly, almost anticipating something horrible on the other side just waiting to ambush him, but was relieved to find nothing attacking him. "S-Sorry about that. I... I was..." Crona began, but he stopped once he got a look at Silver. ...This certainly wasn't what he had been expecting. Not at all. "Y-You're..."
"Whoa! You're like a robot or something! That's epic!" Ragnarok exclaimed. And thus, the contrasting personalities of the boy and demon sword were brought to light.

Silver first reacted to the demon sword for right now the sword seemed very...... upbeat. Silver gave a smile to the sword part of the boy "Um thank ya mate. Me parts are very useful once in a while and actually to be frank I'm a cyborg but you said it right anyways" Then seeing the boy it made silver much more gentle. He was nervous that was sure to silver the last thing he needed was something big and flashy like showing him parts and things so he said "Names John Silver lad and I heard ya are Crona and this fella is ragnarok is that right?"

"T-That's right. I'm-"
"Yep. The wimpy kid is Crona, and I am the demon sword Ragnarok. Hey, moron, how about growing a backbone for once? You're making us look bad!" Ragnarok said harshly, noogie-ing Crona without waiting for his meister to respond. Crona tried to stop him, but it seemed rather useless to try and stop Ragnarok at that moment. Oh, why did his partner choose to be talkative at this particular moment?
"R-Ragnarok, knock it off!" Crona whimpered. Ragnarok did indeed stop, but more because he was bored than actually respecting Crona's wishes. "S-Sorry about him... he's usually more subdued than this. Well, he has been recently." Crona explained. "So... you're the one the agency sent to protect me from..." he began, but he knew he didn't need to finish. His case must have been known throughout the agency by that point.

Silver resisted the urge to scold the sword the boy seemed too nervous to deal with silver's scolding. Silver felt bad about that boy having to deal with that kinda torture but he kept a kind face and said "Yep that's right lad. I must say I think ya don't need to worry ya got old john right here" He pointed to himself as he said so and then said politely "Can I come in your house laddie it's getting kinda cold" With that he let himself snort a little for that was kinda obvious to say but still this WAS crona's house and like it or not silver was raised to be polite in both his pirate days and out of them

"Oh... yeah! S-Sorry. Please, do come in." Crona replied at last. It felt as though a bit of a weight had come off of his shoulders. Someone was willing to put up with his case after all. Willing to protect him... like Maka had. He moved aside, allowing room for Silver to come in, and shifted his gaze to the ground after a moment. "Sorry it's a bit messy in here. I kind of... got freaked out." that was putting it mildly. Crona had thought he was losing himself to the fear.
"Wimpy, that has got to be the understatement of the century. You want pathetic? This kid was absolutely pathetic until you got here, pal. See those pillows?" Ragnarok asked, point to where Crona had been up until Silver arrived. "He convinced himself we'd be safe there." Ragnarok snorted, folding his arms across his little chest and resting against Crona's shoulder as he spoke.
"It... it's not like I could have done anything else, R-Ragnarok. I... I didn't think anyone was coming." Crona murmured. "...I'm glad you're here, Silver. I... I really was beginning to think I'd been forgotten about." he explained.

Silver walked in the room and ignored ragnarok completely then turned to the pinkhaired boy and said mock offended "You? Forget you? Never! I for one wanted somebody to protect and someone got your name and I heard about you when I first joined here so it was just easy and perfect to pick you. Besides I was wanting to see ya anyways you and your friend seemed great ta meet so I did"
Silver then gave crona a wink to imply that he knew what he meant and that he was being honest and also being lighthearted on the subject. Silver liked the boy even though he was really shy but silver didn't care. The boy seemed kind and loyal under all that shy rubble. It just needed to come out

A faint smile formed on Crona's face after a moment. Silver did seem nice. A lot nicer than he expected, and seemed to put up with Ragnarok all right. That was another weight off his shoulders. He'd been afraid Ragnarok would scare away any potential protectors. "Still, I'm glad you came. I wondered when I was going to get a chance to meet you." Crona said.
"Well, I wouldn't say I'm great but whatever. I'm just glad someone is willing to put up with this wimp." Ragnarok remarked. Inwardly, Crona cringed. He silently wished that Ragnarok would get tired again so he and Silver could be left in peace. That didn't seem likely, though. His partner seemed eager to converse for the first time since they had been weakened.
Ignoring Ragnarok's remark, though, he decided they might as well make themselves comfortable. "You can go ahead and sit down if you want. C-Can I get you anything? A drink, maybe?" Crona asked. If they were going to get to know one another, they might as well start there, right?

Silver took some time to respond this time. Now the sword was starting to get on silver's nerves but there was no way in hell that silver would give up on this boy. No one saw the polite and kind fellow he was meeting right now and even if the sword kept annoying him silver he would still keep his job as protecting crona. He nodded finally and said "Sure laddie got any water?" He then took a seat and waited for crona to respond to him

Crona nodded quickly in response. "Yes, I do. Just hang tight. I'll get it." Crona said. "Ragnarok, stay."
"Do I look like a dog to you??" Ragnarok asked indignantly. He took great offense to being treated in such a manner.
"Look, just do that thing where you disappear into my back for now. Okay?" Crona asked quietly. Ragnarok looked quite prepared to argue until his face turned blue, but the serious look Crona was giving him silenced him. For once. That, and admittedly the little demon sword was getting tired.
"Fine. But only because I'm tired. I do expect you to apologize for calling me a dog, though." Ragnarok snorted. With that, Ragnarok vanished into Crona's back. The pink-haired boy let out a sigh of relief, glad to have Ragnarok temporarily out of his hair, and went to retrieving drinks for him and Silver. Soon he joined the pirate on the couch, handing him his glass of water and settling down as comfortably as he could.
"Sorry about Ragnarok. He's... hard to deal with. I don't know how I deal with him anymore." Crona admitted with a slight laugh. There was that fallback phrase of his again. "Anyway, I guess you know a lot about me already. Why don't you tell me something about yourself." Crona suggested.

Silver checked to see that the sword wasn't listening and mumbled annoyed "I can see that. No offense to you at all laddie but he does seem kinda rude to ya" He took the water and nodded his head in thanks and drank a little before speaking again "Alright. Well I used to be a space pirate but that's way beyond me now. I moved on and work as a doubleagent here but don't tell anybody that ya heard this ok? It'll be our little secret" He gave a wink before then laughing slightly "All those sailing years were real fun but working here and all is just as good" Silver then looked at the boy and said sincerely "I really get the feeling that we'll be good friends but I don't wanna get ahead of meself just have this good feelin'"

Crona wanted to try and defend Ragnarok, but he knew it was true. His partner was his exact opposite. "I'm kind of used to it. Ragnarok isn't exactly the nicest guy in the world, but he's helped me a lot in fights. Not that he'll be taking actual weapon form for a while, though. Everything that's happened... well, he's a lot weaker than he used to be." Crona admitted. "The worst he could do now is argue to death with you." he chuckled.
He listened intently as Silver talked about his past experiences. It did sound interesting. Very much so. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about that. I'll make sure Ragnarok doesn't, either." Crona said. He knew Ragnarok could still listen even while concealed in his back. He wasn't quite sure how that worked, but he'd make sure Crona knew to keep quiet. "It sounds like you've led an interesting life. I wouldn't think you'd be interested in taking on a job like protecting Ragnarok and I." he said after a moment. "I mean... well, there's so many other interesting things you could be doing." he murmured, realizing he might not have said the best thing.

Silver nodded at crona's words when it came to his partner ragnarok and just smiled. His smile flashed into a frown. Why did crona think like that? Why did he think that he wasn't good enough. Silver wanted to know that so he said "Look lad you may say ya aren't interestin' but that ain't true at all. Ya seem like a great person to talk to. I may have had alot of adventure but that don't mean that I think you're boring don't say that about yourself"

"It's just... well, I'm not really..." Crona stopped himself. He didn't quite know how to put what he was thinking into words. Well, he had an idea but it was more of a put down than anything else. "It's hard to explain. What it boils down to is that I've been seen as worthless by a lot of people. ...Lady Medusa included." Crona explained. "It's... part of the reason I didn't think anyone would be interested in protecting me." he said at last. His gaze shifted to the floor again. It was evident that Crona's sense of self-worth was rather low.
