Ooh, so, like, Tulio is goofing off while Splinter is trying to train him or something? That sounds pretty awesome. Will do, Darla!

I have the requests in mind, and I have indeed become inspired, but until school stops being a douche weasel I probably won't be able to type them up. |D So don't worry, they're coming.

I've gained a bit of inspiration again, and my muse has been unblocked now that this is all done. So I'll get crackin' on Sibad/Wilbur and Darla's requests ASAP. For now, though, here's my half of me and Soul's fic trade. If Soul is out of character in this, forgive me. I still have yet to watch Soul Eater. DX And some of it I'm not very proud of, but you know what? Oh well. Here goes.
Possessed
Monster. Monster. MONSTER.[/b]
Soul was jolted from sleep, heart pounding feverishly in his ears, a cold sweat breaking out over his skin. A faint, warm breeze rustled the birch trees outside of the dorms, and a bird sang out its morning song in the distance, but otherwise the May morning was quiet. The air was thick and unusually hot for so early in the morning. There was nothing amiss, nothing that would explain the sudden fear that now lingered in his stomach. He sat up quietly. “It’s all right,” he murmured to himself. “It’s fine. Just a little nightmare is all.” But was it just that? Monster. The hissing, wispy fragment of a voice resonated in his mind. The voice was vaguely familiar, and for once, not the pleading ghostly voice of his own conscience. He could not place it, not at that moment… “Tch,” he snorted, pushing the covers back. “Get a hold of yourself. It was just a stupid dream.” Nothing more. Just a dream. He couldn’t help but try and place the voice as he slowly got out of bed. It was not his own, he knew that. It sounded tight, tight and higher-pitched. But it had sounded so distorted that Soul could not think if it was just the voice he heard inside of his mind or… Maka. His stomach gave a twist of dread as the realization hit him like a ton of bricks. That was Maka’s voice that had called him a monster. He froze in mid-stride, struggling to place his exact emotions. Did he care? Perhaps. Was he at all sorry? Not at all. He was doing what Medusa had told him to do. He could see no wrong in what he’d done… well, maybe he could. It was unexpected, and against orders, but… “Oh, whatever,” Soul said aloud with a slight roll of his eyes. “It doesn’t matter anymore.” …Did it?
The rifle was shot, sending bits and pieces of sawdust and stuffing flying through the training grounds. “Wow!” came the cry of awe from a fellow assassin, Ursula. “You just get better every time, Miyuki!” “I know,” said pink-haired girl replied bluntly, tossing a stray tuft of locks over her shoulder as she let the rifle drop to her side. “Practicing tends to do that.” This was often how the assassins’ day was spent. Training with some more training on the flipside. Miyuki knew full well that she needed to be prepared and such, but honestly, she was getting really sick of it. She wouldn’t be surprised if she was going to go deaf soon from the sound of her trusty rifle being shot, on top of already playing all her music on full blast. She came here to kill people, not just play around with guns and pretend that they were on top of things. It wouldn’t have been worth it, if it weren’t for one thing… Soul had decided that, for lack of anything better to do, he might as well go and train some more. Like Miyuki, Soul was becoming really tired of just training, day in and day out. Even with the mission Miyuki, Ursula, and himself had been on previously, life had fallen back into a rigid routine almost immediately afterward. He would have considered leaving the place long ago were it not for one thing… As he entered the place, he called out with a wave, “Hey.” Miyuki spun around and grinned, waving back. “Good morning,” she answered as he walked up to her. Ursula turned around and decided it was best if she trained on her own for a while… she didn’t want to get in their way. “You bored, too?” He groaned. “Is it that obvious?” he replied sarcastically. “It’s just so boring around here.” “I know. Why would they bother training us so damn much when we don’t even go on missions to show off our skills?” Miyuki growled, testily tapping her rifle against her shoulder. “I joined this place for the sole intent of finally being able to kill someone. And what have I done? NOTHING.” Soul sighed and shook his head, but said nothing. For a moment, both him and Miyuki were quiet. Miyuki thought for a moment. She’d been wanting to get Soul alone for a while. Maybe… “Do you wanna get out of the agency for a while?” she asked suddenly, placing a small hand on Soul’s shoulder. “Can we do that?” “It’ll be worth being reprimanded. We need to get out of here.” Soul grinned. “I like your thinking.” Miyuki grinned back. “So do I. So what do you say? Cool?” “Totally cool.” Miyuki embraced Soul in a sudden hug, which caught him totally off guard. “You’re a pal, babe.” She looked up into his crimson eyes and asked with a devious smirk. “So, are we going or what?”
The unusually humid heat of the morning had only intensified as it grew later into the day, driving Miyuki to take off her normal outfit of a black sweatshirt and thick leather pants and instead wear a loose gray tank-top and tight black khaki shorts. She did mean for it to be a much cooler alternative to her usual outfit, but she also figured that if there was a day to show off some skin to Soul, this would be it. Well, Soul wasn’t complaining. Not only was he getting out of the place, he was getting out with Miyuki. Miyuki in a tank-top, no less. The first place that came to mind once they successfully left the agency was the park. It was probably crawling with either agents or clients, but honestly, they didn’t care. It was a place to just sit down and relax, and that was all that mattered. “So…” Miyuki began, walking beside Soul, her hand in his. “What do you want to do…?” Soul shrugged. “What do you want to do?” “Oh, no. I asked you first.” Soul snickered a bit at that. “I don’t know. There isn’t all that much we can do.” “Isn’t that the point, though?” “…I guess…? This was your idea.” “Bench!” Miyuki suddenly exclaimed, pointing to, as her outburst implied, a bench. “We’re sitting there!” It wasn’t a statement, it was a command. Miyuki tugged a rather confused Soul to the said bench and sat herself down. “Well? You gonna sit or just stand there?” Soul did so. Miyuki immediately propped herself against him, laying horizontally across the bench, leaning against his side. “There. This is what I was getting at.” “I see.” He draped his arm around her midsection. “So… what now? Just lay here?” “That’s the idea.” Not that it was a bad idea. It was preferable to training their asses off back at the agency. But… well… now that he thought about it, Soul didn’t have any complaints. He’d been needing some peace after being in so much inner turmoil. As they lay there, in silence, Soul could not help but think about the dream. He could not remember anything of it, nothing besides Maka’s voice and it being… vaguely frightening. That was rather infuriating-- it was just Maka’s voice that stood out. Why had he even been scared in the first place if it was just that? You know fully well why, the airy version of himself replied, appearing yet again at a moment that Soul wanted it dormant. “Oh, shut up, you,” he mumbled, hoping not to draw too much attention to himself. Not until you stop flirting with this chick, the ghost countered firmly. “And you know fully well that that won’t happen,” Soul said with finality. “You say something?” Miyuki asked, turning her head backwards to look at him. Well, damn. The last thing I need is her thinking I’m crazy. “Oh, no-- it’s nothing,” Soul replied hastily. “Just thinking… talking to myself.” Miyuki chuckled a bit. “Crazy. Just the way I like it.” That was an unexpected remark. “…What?” “You heard me. Crazy is good. I should know. You don’t think someone who’s blown up whole festivals with homemade napalm, without remorse, is completely right in the head, do you?” “Ah, touché.” No! the ghost of himself protested. No, that isn’t how it works! You are not seriously thinking of getting serious with her are you? Maka would-- “I don’t care what Maka thinks!” Soul snapped aloud. Miyuki jumped to this and she sat up straight. “Shut up already!” “Jesus, you nearly gave me a heart attack!” Miyuki exclaimed. “The hell’s going on?!” “It’s nothing,” Soul growled, hoping to keep the voice at bay at least for a while. “Yeah, I don’t think so. You’re yelling at nothing. I think it’s a little something.” She’d cornered him. Crap. “I’m just… kind of in a heated debate with the memories of the past. Metaphorically,” he added quickly. “Well, don’t. The past is the past, it’s gone. You can’t change it, and there’s no reason to dwell on it. This is probably a really campy thing to say, but just move on and get over it.” “Woah. Pretty profound, there, Miyuki,” Soul joked, at length. “I try,” she replied rather haughtily with a shrug. Wow. Unbelievable. You’re an idiot, the ghost Soul remarked rather angrily. Soul simply ignored it. “That’s probably the best route to go. Like you said, what’s done is done.” “Exactly.” Miyuki leaned on him yet again, tilting her head back to look at him. “All the more time to enjoy the present, right?” “Absolutely.” “Good. Then I think now that we’ve established that, you’ll appreciate this more.” Before Soul could even respond, Miyuki pulled him down by the collar and the two locked their lips in a quick peck. Soul pulled back in surprise, but he was pleasantly so. The airy Soul was at a loss for words. You… you… it stuttered, outraged. Oh, forget it. You are absolutely impossible. With that, the ghost left his consciousness, much to his relief. Miyuki grinned. “So, babe. Was that worth it, or what?” He gave himself a beat before responding, “Most definitely. The past is overrated.” “There you go. You’re getting there, doll.”

Eeeeeeeeeee I loved it! That was so awesome. I don't think you had Soul out of character at all, especially given his current state of mind. CX
