Piper is the second oldest of the Charmed Ones. She, Prue, and Phoebe were witches for three years together. Her boyfriend Jeremy was revealed to be a warlock and nearly killed them. But they vanquished them. She and her sisterse kept vanquishing various demons and warlocks that came their way, protecting innocents in the process.
She worked at Quake for awhile before becoming a witch, but after a year of being a witch she quit to form the nightclub P3. She dated Leo briefly but when she discovered he was a whitelighter he had to go. He returned and nearly died. He offered to give us his powers to be with her but that would mean he couldn't help other witches and people anymore, so she reluctantly let him go.
She began dating Dan to try to move on from Leo, but Leo came back into their life asking for their help and soon she found herself torn between the two, ultimately choosing Leo. Near the end of her second year as a witch she goes to meet the Elders with Leo, and ends up staying there for three months. They return unaware how long they spent up there, until Prue and Phoebe tell them.
Leo proposes to her telling them the Elders can't keep them apart if they're married. But Cole finds out the plan, telling the Triad, who tells the Elders, who take Leo away. After Piper proves she won't stop being a witch and protecting innocents Leo is returned to Earth and they're given a chance at a relationship. They finally marry a few months later. But near the end of her three year anniversary as a witch, magic is exposed when they tried to vanquish the demon Shax. Piper was shot by a Wiccan fanatic and taken to the hospital. She died after they were unable to save her.
Phoebe made a deal with the Source to rewind time which saved Prue. But Phoebe, Leo, and Cole weren't there to save them in time. They returned to the manor only in time to save Piper but Prue didn't survive Shax's attack when Leo had originally healed them both before magic had exposed.
Now the eldest sister Piper struggles with the loss of her sister. But her mother and grandmother drop a bomb shell on them when Phoebe and Cole's latest innocent orbed out of danger. Their mom and grandmother reveal the innocent is their long lost half-sister Paige Matthews. They save Paige and eventually convince her to join them.
Piper and Paige had a testy relationship at first as Piper couldn't accept her as as sister right away but eventually came round and Paige moved in when her apartment became too expensive. The Source grew more desparate and desparte to stop them even trapping Piper in her mind to get her to give up her powers. But in the end he summoned the Hollow and stole Piper and Paige's powers. The Seer joined forces with the Charmed Ones and Cole to stop him before all was destroyed. The Seer and Phoebe read an incantation that restored the Hollow back to its resting place which allowed the Charmed Ones to vanquish the Source.
But they were unaware Cole became the Source's new vessel, and began planning with the Seer to resume taking over the Underworld. The Elders soon told the sisters of assasins mortal and magical attacking humans and other magical creatures, and then of the rival agency trying to stop them. They asked if they were willing to join.Piper reluctantly agreed leaving P3 in the hands of her manager, before going off to join the war, leaving the Book of Shadows behind in care of her two sisters where it would be safe in the manor.

Piper ran down the alley spotting an assasin and a scared little girl. She raised her hands freezing them both on the spot. She ran forward wishing Leo or Paige were here to orb them out, but instead improvised.
"Send this girl to safety and fast. My power on them won't last." said Piper.
In a flash of white lights the child vanishes being teleported away to safety. The assasin unfroze seeing the girl was gone and Piper was in her place.
"Hi. Didn't expect to see me did you? Well you pissed off the wrong witch." said Piper.
She explodes a crate next to his head startling him.
"You'll pay for this." said the assasin.
He turned and fled down the alley vanishing into the city. Piper smirked her job was done as she too walked out of the alley. She walked a couple blocks, and cliimbed into her jeep, before driving away returning back to HQ.
