Kenai stood up and replied "Well perdy and pongo were wrestling and mataka and I were just talking about our parents nothing much really.... I see you like reading" Kenai was observant of ken's book and never learning to read was curious "What kind of book is it?" Perdita and pongo were now letting kenai talk and mataka she just allowed kenai to spread his words out. The three were very pleased with kenai's progress on speaking

"This? Oh, this is just a fantasy book I enjoy. Nothing special, really." Ken replied. "It's about a prince that gets turned into a frog by a witch doctor, and he needs a princess to help change him back. Kind of silly, really, but I like it." he said with a slight laugh. His expression softened a little as he spoke. "Ragnarok says I need to get my nose out of the books sooner or later, though. I just... don't really like talking that much." he sighed. This was going to be more difficult than he thought. Not that he minded, he just didn't want Ragnarok to keep getting on his case about it.
(ooc: Why yes, that was a blatant reference to Princess and the Frog. I am lame. I'm aware of this. CX)

(OCC: Best reference ever. No lameness here)
As the three other cubs listened kenai nodded and replied back "Sounds amazing. I never really read anything before. That story seems really c-cool" Pongo then asked confused "umm who's ragnarok?" Mataka and perdita just looked at the human boy and waited for the reaction

Akane gave a bemused kind of glare at Ken, raising one eyebrow-- a feat that had taken her years to learn and master-- as she did. Fairy tales were lame. Unless they were the original Brothers Grimm ones, of course. They involved killing people more often than not, brutally, in a way that would give children nightmares. "Hmph." She stood up, smoothing out her baggy shirt as she did. "Sounds pretty lame if you ask me." She patted Ken on the back a little roughly, boyishly. "But you're not bad, squirt. You just need to buck up a little bit."

"Thanks." Ken said, admittedly a bit surprised that Akane liked him at all. He had thought she was the kind of person that didn't really want friends. But, that was okay with him. She must have had a nice side deep down. Way deep down.
Ah, right. Ken should have guessed that they wouldn't know who Ragnarok was. For all they knew, he could have been an imaginary friend. "Ragnarok is... a sort of friend of my dad's. They're kind of... attached. It's hard to explain. Not even I know the full details." Ken explained. Wow, he really was making progress. At least, he was being more talkative in this particular conversation. "I just know it was something my grandmother on his side of the family did to him. My dad, that is." he murmured. He had never met his grandmother. Oh, he had met his grandfather but never anyone from his dad's side of the family. Ken was rather keen to guess that perhaps his father didn't have many relations.

"Woah." Akane gave a crooked little grin of sadistic delight. "So, like, his mom infused a Siamese twin into him or something? Frikken' A!" She was probably giving off the wrong reaction, or taking what Ken said out of context, but now she was stuck on a purposeful Siamese twin infusion. I'm not sure I would want that, but honestly, I'd want to see how that operation went. You'd need a whole lot of sedative to get through it. Ah, what the hell am I thinking about? If people coudl read minds, I'd be put in an asylum. I guess Mom had teh same deal..

Pongo accepted ken's answer and said "Alright cool! It's so cool yet weird to have both our mom's be friends isn't it?" Mataka nodded and said "Still it's amazing what fate does. It simply flows within our lives" Perdita hugged her sister and replied "Jeez mataka you sound like Splinter" Mataka shrugged and said to ken "Anyways I agree with my brother it's cool to have known family ties"

"Well... not so much a twin as another creature entirely. It's like... um..." Ken wasn't really sure how to explain it. Ragnarok was just weird, and he couldn't understand how his grandmother had even gotten Ragnarok to combine with his dad. He at last came up with some kind of means of explaining, though. Carefully opening his book and tearing out a blank page from the back, he placed the page on top of the book and removed a small pencil from his pocket. Ken liked to carry one around just in case a situation arose where he would need one.
With that, Ken began to draw. He wasn't the best artist by any means, but he was able to get his point across. Soon enough he had a simple sketch on the page that vaguely resembled Crona and Ragnarok. "It's like this. This is my dad, and this thing here is Ragnarok." Ken said, pointing the tip of his pencil at the points in question. "I... really don't know what Ragnarok is. He claims to be some kind of sword, but I just don't see it." Ken explained with a slight laugh. The black creature being a sword? How laughable. He had heard his grandfather was supposed to be some kind of weapon as well, but just didn't see that either. There had been no need for weapon transformations since things had quieted between the two agencies.

"Hrmmmm..." Akane was admittedly a bit disappointed. But it was still rather interesting. She leaned over Ken and examined the sketch a bit further. "Well, that's kinda wacky. But cool, I guess." She stepped back a bit, beginning to twirl the end of her ponytail around her index finger. "Interesting parents you got there... uh... I... don't think you told us your name... unless I was just not paying attention."

Ken just nodded a little as he folded the sketch and tucked it under the cover of his book. He had always thought his parents were a bit... interesting. His father definitely was, at any rate. ...Ah, yes, he hadn't properly introduced himself to her. "My name's Ken. Sorry, I guess I didn't introduce myself loudly enough before." Ken chuckled. He was beginning to feel more comfortable conversing with the group. Wouldn't his parents be proud of him? "And... Perdita and the others here mentioned someone named Akane. Would that be you?" he asked.

"No, I'm the Queen of Sheba," Akane replied in mock-serious tone, before laughing a bit at her own joke. "Just joking. Yeah, I'm Akane." She tilted her head to the side a bit. "You were giving me some funny looks earlier, squirt. Lemme guess, you wanna know who my mom and dad are, right?"

"Was it really that obvious?" Ken asked. He had hoped that his wondering hadn't been all that noticeable, but apparently it had been. Another reason to work on not making his expressions too readable. "I guess you caught me. That's what I was wondering about." he admitted. Her answer would be interesting, regardless of what it was.

"Eh, not too much, I just read people really well..." she replied with a shrug. "Well, if you're really interested my dad is Soul Eater and my mom's Miyuki Takara. They were really good assassins back when they worked at dark Dreams Agency," she added with pride.
