Riven dodged quickly before the blade could reach him, it wasn't a total complete dodge though, part of his clothes ripped, moving as fast as he could, the specialist kicked out, hoping to bring Alvin's feet out from under him and send the man crashing to the ground.
At least he's putting up a fight

Alvin happened to see what Riven was doing, and so took a step back to avoid being knocked over. Even with only one eye the move had been fairly easy to spot. He had to admit, his opponent wasn't terrible like he was expecting. Clever, if he did say so himself. But would cleverness be enough to let him win their little fight? There was only one way to determine that much. Alvin held back the Stormblade for a long moment, almost as if he was contemplating what to do next, and studied Riven in that moment. How could he best go about attacking the young man now?
Finally, an idea came to him. Alvin began to stalk around Riven, making it appear as though he was still contemplating what to do and making sure that his opponent could see him, all the while holding his sword close to him. Then, right when he was at Riven's non-sword wielding side, Alvin struck. He aimed a nasty slash at the younger man without warning, surely catching him off guard at the very least.

Riven was rather startled by the sudden attack, that he barley had time to block. Blood rushed from his arm. He had to give his opponent credit He was good, almost better than him. That was not something Riven was going to admit and nor was he happy to find that there was someone that was better than him.
He circled Alvin almost like a predator hunting a defenseless animal, he lunged at him with sword ready to stab him in the back.

Alvin barely had time to react. If he hadn't been keeping an eye on Riven's movements, it would have been likely he could have been killed in that moment. Fortunately, Alvin spun around to make it so that the wound would be in a less vital place on his body. He cringed as Riven's blade met its new mark, his side, and seethed in pain. Alvin silently admitted that maybe Riven wasn't one to take lightly either. He was no Hiccup, but he was fairly good.
Blood had been drawn from both opponents. Soul was watching with interest, casually shifting his gaze to Eris once in a while to see if she would call for an end to the fight any time soon. They were only asking Alvin to prove his loyalty, after all. From Soul's point of view he was fighting Riven as though the redhead were an agent. That was good enough reason to Soul for them to let the formerly handsome man stay with them. Soul didn't voice his opinions, though. It was up to Eris to decide if Alvin would stay.

Eris caught Soul's glance as his eyes came to meet hers and gave a small nod. This Alvin fellow was very talented. For the time being, she ignored Stormy. She drifted through the two, raising her hands, a dark smile on her face. He was good. For someone that had seemed grandly disabled in the beginning, his abilities were surprising. "My, my, Alvin that was most surprising." She drifted closer to the oddly shaped figure, studying the blade attached to his arm. A true extension of his being. "Riven, it seems you've been outmatched." her smooth voice almost purred as she looked between the two. One, was easier to look at than the other. "Does anyone object to this Treacherous man joining our ranks?" She scoured her assassins faces, daring them to object to her opinion.
Turning away almost as quickly as she'd looked across her 'subjects' she turned to the new comer. "Have at it." She suggested gesturing to the assassins. "What can you do for us?" Her eyes slid to Azula and Tak, wondering if she'd like to test her other new comers now that recruits were literally waltzing in.

Proteus stood on the sidelines, having watched the entire fight from the get go in silence, he knew better than to object to Lady Eris's wishes. He would not feel sorry for anyone who did do so. Those who did, wound up dead.
He was interested to see what this new comer would do. Most of them seemed to be mainly witches, which was fine by him. He didn't care.

"I've got no problem with it. He seems like a natural." Soul stated at last. Alvin's technique reminded Soul of that of his friends from the DWMA. Human weapons that allowed their weapon forms to become an extension of themselves. Alvin may not have been a weapon naturally, but his handling of that sword was something Soul had to admit was rather interesting to watch. "I think Alvin's proven his loyalty." Soul said.
Alvin, admittedly, was relieved to have finally proven that he was loyal. Now, at least, he wouldn't have to lose another limb to prove that much. Despite the pain he was in from being stabbed in the side, Alvin offered a grateful nod to Eris. "Your judgment is not wrong, my lady. I assure you, I will do my best to serve you." Alvin said smoothly. He proceeded to unscrew the Stormblade from his hook's place, his good eye falling on the crimson liquid adorning its side where he had struck Riven before, and carefully wiped the liquid away with the edge of his cloak before sheathing it once more. Once that was accomplished, his hook was retrieved from his pocket and put back in its place. Ghastly though he appeared, the little skirmish with Riven should have proven he was just as good with a blade as a man that hadn't been through the hell he had.
His gaze wandered to Proteus after a moment and a nonexistent eyebrow was raised. Who was this man? Why wasn't he standing with the rest of the group? For once, Alvin decided not to voice his question. If Proteus wanted to introduce himself, he would do so.

"Lady Eris, if i may." Proteus spoke up. "While i do admire that all these agents are remarkable. There are a few of them that i am not sure if they are worthy." he looked at Ursula, Utau and Taiga. "These three are only kids." he said crossing his arms over his chest. "I really don't think that these three can handle it."
Ursula glared at the man addressing her. "I am not some kid!" she snapped. However, Utau held her tounge. Being called a kid was nothing that she wasn't used to. Besides, this man was obviously not of normal stature.

"My good sir, if I may cut in I have just one thing to say to that." Alvin stated as he raised his hook into the air in a dignified fashion. Ignoring the 'Oh, here we go' look on Soul's face, Alvin decided to continue. He knew well enough that it was unwise to underestimate anyone based on their age. He had initially done that with Hiccup, and the brat had proven himself to be competent. Very competent. Lowering his hook, Alvin just shook his head a little before resuming his speech. "It is unwise to underestimate anyone based on age alone. If these three wish to be assassins, I don't think we should stop them. For all we know, they could be as competent as the rest of us." Alvin said.

"Indeed that's true one shouldn't be judged on age or looks." he gave that comment to Ursula, he had seen the way she had looked at Alvin when he first came in, this only seemed to make her more angry but he ignored her. Proteus was not one to hold something like age against his allies as long as they left his enemies to him. That was the only chance that he would wind up wanting to kill them. "If they prove their worth i will see them as being worthy."
"What makes you so smart?!" Ursula snapped. "I don't think you have any right to judge us, mainly me on something that i know i can do better."
Proteus didn't bother to look at the pink haired girl. He knew her type, all talk and no action. If she could survive a mission without running away because of a broken nail then proteus would be willing to accept her.

Alvin had half a mind to challenge Ursula to a fight for her biting comments, but he chose to not do so. He had already proven his worth, and had an injury to show for it. There was no reason to shed more blood. Not yet. Instead, Alvin nodded smartly in response to what Proteus had said. "I suppose you have a point. They need to prove themselves like the rest of us." he said. He didn't know why, but Alvin rather liked Proteus for that moment in time. The other man seemed intelligent at the very least. They could have some decent conversations, he thought.
"I don't believe you've said your name, good sir." Alvin pointed out. He didn't know how long Proteus had been in the room. For all he knew he could have arrived when he and Riven were fighting. Alvin chose not to repeat his introduction, though, just in case Proteus hadn't missed it.

Proteus decided it was best not to keep his name in mystery. If he didn't say anything he was sure that Eris would have. "Proteus." he replied. "My name is Proteus." he replied, turning to Riven, he smirked. "Your sword skills are remarkably close in strength." he replied. "That fight was impressive."
He was not going to say he could do better, he probably could but, he knew better than to challenge those who would become his allies. He would save his blade for when it was needed

"Proteus, so glad you could join us!" the vibrant goddess floated over to float behind the past prince, placing her smoky fingers on his shoulder. "And age doesn't matter. Just look at me." She smiled, not giving any indication as to her real age. Her eyes darted and narrowed at Ursula. "Shush. You haven't even been on a mission yet." the goddess snapped, mood swinging in a matter of seconds. Then, it flashed back to the normal airy mindset as usual.
"I see you've met Alvin. He's most promising in his fighting skills." The goddess nodded. She was known to be a big schmoozer, even if she was top dog. She pushed herself away from Proteus, floating freely once more, eyes looking over her assassins. Maybe it would be time to start assigning missions soon. A smile graced her pale skin.

"Exactly. Age has nothing to do with skill." Soul remarked. Everyone at the DWMA was fairly young, at least around Soul's age, but it didn't deter Lord Death from letting them become weapon and meister teams. He folded his arms over his chest casually and offered a little shrug. All the talk of age seemed a bit pointless. "What matters is if you're good at what you do." he said. He couldn't bring himself to talk about killing. Not at that moment in time. Soul was still convinced he could escape the assassins somehow and get back to Maka. ...Somehow being the key word.
Alvin, admittedly loving the praise being lavished upon him, bowed his head graciously as Eris complimented him. "I am glad you think so, my lady. Years of practice and perfecting the art of sword fighting did help, but I like to think talent had a hand in it as well." Alvin said. It was hard not to gloat just a little inside as he praised himself. He had always thought of himself as a talented swordsman. Maybe even more so than Hiccup. ...Maybe. The young boy did have talent, that much was certain. "And it is nice to make your acquaintance as well, Proteus. In case you missed my introduction, as Eris said, my name is Alvin." he greeted.

Proteus nodded with a small smirk. "Pleasure to meet you. I have a feeling you and i are going to get along well." he said. [/i] 'As long as you don't get in my way' [/i] the dark thought was running through the past prince's mind. He dared not to speak these thoughts outloud though
