Appearance: Luna is around the size of a young adult pony, not as large as Celestia but taller than teenage ponies, not to mention she's rather slender. A horn pokes up from her forehead while feathery wings are usually resting on her sides. The princess is an ultramarine color throughout her entire body. The pair of eyes she has are each a cyan color. On her flank there lies a cutie mark of a crescent moon with a background of midnight splatters. A tiara rests on her head, small and dark violet with three points. Her mane is sapphire with a highlight of clear amethyst, sparkling where it's sapphire. Around her horn are side bangs, covering her right eye. Her mane is always flowing, though not as long as her sister's mane, and her tail matches. Her hooves show-off pearl royal shoes. Above her eyes is light periwinkle eye shadow, possibly to feel secure. Another feature on this pony is a necklace that matches her cutie mark, a moon with a midnight background.
Personality:
Often, Luna is doing her best to stray away from regal and royal speech of the old days, though she does slip up and use old royalty words. On occasion, she will refer to herself in majestic plural, or she'll refer to herself in third-person. After no longer being Nightmare Moon, she often wants to redeem herself further. Because of being away for a thousand years, she's usually relatively new to certain terms. And using her inside voice. She does have a bit of a temper on her, and she can be awkward to be around at times, but she does have good intentions.

History: The furthest back history known of the princess is that she and her sister overthrew Discord's chaotic reign thanks to the Elements of Harmony. Once that had been taken care of, the sisters ruled together. Celestia, Luna's sister, took care of raising the sun for the day while Luna took care of raising the moon for the night. Originally, the princesses ruled together in harmony until something sparked in Luna. Jealousy. Nobody was awake to admire the night she had to push herself to give while Celestia rose the sun with no problem. This transformed the princess into Nightmare Moon, causing Celestia to send her to the moon for a thousand years. On the thousandth year, stars would aid her escape of the moon and bring her back to Earth.
The dark alicorn came back with vengeful plotting against her sister, to bring about eternal darkness. Nightmare Moon had put the Elements of Harmony through tests to keep them from saving Celestia, who had been missing thanks to Nightmare Moon. The ponies prevailed, finding power in friendship, and hit Nightmare Moon with a friendship beam.
This caused the alicorn to be cleansed of her vicious plans, reverting to her original form before her trip to the moon. Luna. A reunion was held with her sister, who quite literally came out of nowhere. Luna apologized, and was forgiven by her older sister.
However, the princess had caught an earful of an agency. Without a second thought, she decided to join with them

The princess stood there, blinking several times at Naveen. "Thou art- you are royalty? Isn't it... tradition, to speak with the royal speaking voice?" Well, there went Luna's chances of speaking like she usually did. The poor alicorn had to catch up with the times and stop using such old royalty terms. "Nonetheless, it's indeed fascinating to meet thou- you, sir. Charmed to meet you." Flowing sapphire and amethyst mane shifted from it's usual current slightly when the princess pony extended her pearl encased right front hoof, as if to shake it.
Her mouth stayed a straight line on her ultramarine face, dark cyan eyes still watching the human. A human. Oh, Celestia would be so jealous of the princess of the night. She got to meet a real human, nothing anypony had seen before. A bit of a smile occurred on her face, the corners of her mouth barely raising themselves up. This was going to be quite the tale to tell when she returned to Canterlot.
